Producer | Founder of Bright Llama Productions
Laura Sambono is an Australian film producer, former architect, and creative force behind Bright Llama Productions. After a successful career designing real-world structures, Laura pivoted to building worlds on screen — bringing the same precision, imagination, and storytelling to film that she once brought to architecture.
A proud mum to two daughters and wife to filmmaker Josh Sambono, Laura has carved out a vibrant career producing short films, developing feature projects, and creating cinematic showreels for actors through Bright Llama Productions. Her credits include producing the award-winning concept Drop Bears (winner of AACTA Pitch: Bite), the feature-in-development Terror Zone, and a range of short films including Skeleton, Void of Retribution, and Barely Living.
Laura’s background in design shines through her work as a production designer and creative producer, with a passion for helping emerging actors showcase their best work on screen. Whether she’s crafting creature features or collaborating on heartfelt stories, Laura brings a distinctive voice, relentless work ethic, and a deep love for storytelling to every project she touches.
